The Unified Ecozones of the Philippines, Inc. – Batang Ecozone (UNECO Batang Ecozone) marked a significant milestone through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on May 29, 2026, at the PEZA Head Office, Double Dragon Plaza, Pasay City.
Present during the signing ceremony were Engr. Jerenato "Jerry" Alfante, President of UNECO Batang Ecozone, and Froilan Sanchez, Vice President, together with members of the organization's Board of Directors. Representing PEZA were Director General Tereso "Teo" O. Panga and Cavite Economic Zone Administrator Atty. Ross Vincent Sy, whose presence underscored PEZA's commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with ecozone stakeholders and communities.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of PEZA and Batang Ecozone to strengthen collaboration, empower ecozone workers and stakeholders, support community development initiatives, and promote programs that contribute to the growth and sustainability of Philippine economic zones.
The signing of this MOU signifies a unified vision of fostering stronger engagement among ecozone communities, encouraging volunteerism, promoting meaningful initiatives, and creating opportunities that will benefit workers, locators, investors, and stakeholders across the country.
