Despite the heavy rains, with classes and work suspended, a meeting was still continued August 5, in the afternoon between PEZA-Batang Ecozone and Sazgar Philippines, represented by former MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos. In the meeting was Atty. Vincent Sy of PEZA and President Jerenato B. Alfante of Batang Ecozone.
Sazgar, a Pakistani automotive company, makers of three-wheeled, six-seater electric vehicles, discussed the possibility of introducing the “Tricycles” at Cavite Export Zone thru a joint venture agreement with Batang Ecozone and the CEZ’s Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association.
An initial 80 units were committed for CEZ.
