LOOK | The Unified Ecozones of the Philippines (UNECO) Batang Ecozone, led by Engr. Jerenato "Jerry" Alfante, had a chance meeting with Col. Francel Margareth Padilla SC (GSC), PA, Spokesperson of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), during the PHILSEC Summit 2026 Cybersecurity Event held at the Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom from June 30 to July 1, 2026.
During the meeting, UNECO Batang Ecozone reaffirmed its full support for the programs and initiatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Col. Padilla, the 2025 Cyberwoman Award recipient, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity by raising awareness of the various threats and vulnerabilities in cyberspace, especially online scams and other cybercrimes. She also continued to advocate the West Philippine Sea narrative, emphasizing that the islands are "ATIN ITO" ("It Is Ours").
